UPDATE: Lake City Schools On Lockdown

Around 10:38 this morning the Missaukee County Sheriff's Office received a report of a possible bomb threat at Lake City Middle School.

A staff member had found a written threat.

Students were moved to a safe location while Deputies from Missaukee County Sheriff's Office and Troopers from the Michigan State Police post in Houghton Lake searched the building.

A K-9 units trained in explosives also searched the building, but found no bomb.

The building has been cleared and the students returned to their classrooms.

This incident is still under investigation.

We have developing news out of Missaukee County.

Lake City Schools are on lockdown right now because of some type of threatening note was left.

Officers are currently searching the school.

The Sheriff tells us all students are safe.

    Breaking news tonight, 9&10 News learned convicted murderer Eric Knysz tried to hang himself in prison. We have confirmed Knysz is now on life support. Knysz was just sentenced last week to life in prison
    UPDATE: 9 & 10 News has just confirmed that convicted murderer Eric Knysz has been declared brain dead.

    Knysz was on life support after the suicide attempt that took place Monday afternoon.
