UPDATE: Vincent Belmarez Accused of Robbing a Mount Pleasant Subway

We have just learned the suspect's name.

Vincent Belmarez is accused of robbing a Subway in Mount Pleasant.

He has previously been convicted of making and delivering marijuana.

Belmarez is being held at the Isabella County Jail with a $950,000 bond.


UPDATE: The man who police say is behind at least one of the armed robberies in Mount Pleasant is due in court today.

Police believe he robbed the Mission Street Subway at gunpoint on Sunday night.

For now, investigators are not linking him to the four other recent robberies in the area.

The first robbery happened at the Next Door Food Store just outside the city in Union Township early Saturday morning.

"Advance America" Cash Advance was hit Saturday afternoon.

Another Next Door Food Store was the third victim on Sunday, and the Check N' Cash was robbed Monday.

Again, police say the man arrested Wednesday has not been linked to any of the other robberies.


Just in to the 9&10 Newsroom, the Mount Pleasant Police Department says they have arrested a suspect for the robbery of a Mount Pleasant Subway.

The robbery happened on Sunday, February 17th at a Subway located on North Mission Street.

It is unknown if this suspect is connected to the other robberies that happened in the Mount Pleasant area.

The other robberies are still under investigation.
