UPDATE: Midland Man Must Pay Fines For Helping Wife Steal

Posted: Updated:

A Midland man must pay up to $998,000 after investigators say he helped his wife steal from a dentist's office.

A judge ordered Kenneth Cieslinski to pay the restitution and dismissed his embezzlement charges.

Cieslinski pleaded no contest to taking and hiding the stolen money, which means he accepts punishment, but not guilt.

The sentence includes 5 years of probation.

Last year, Stephanie Cieslinski was ordered to serve at least 3 years in prison.

The case involved the office of Midland Dentist Dr. Michael Smith.
