Local Astronomy Professor Gives Insight on Meteor That Showered Part of Russia

We sat down with a local Astronomy Professor today to get even more insight on the two events in space. Jerry Dobek is a Professor at Northwestern Michigan College, in Traverse City. Dobek says the meteor that showered part of Russia weighed about 10 tons, and was the size of a large SUV. Dobek tells us these can reign down on the Earth about once every ten years, making this a fairly rare occurrence.
