Gladwin Woman Accused of Embezzling

A Northern Michigan woman is accused of embezzling more than $100,000 from her employer.

Police arrested the Houghton Lake woman on Monday.

She's accused of taking money from Earl's Building Supply in Gladwin.

Heather Peer was charged with embezzlement and using a computer to commit a crime.

Peer worked at the business for 12 years.

The owner says he has documented proof that she was taking money since 2007.
