Division 2 Ski Regional Results (Crystal Mountain)

THOMPSONVILLE - Five Northern Michigan teams qualified for the Division 2 State Ski Finals at Crystal Mountain Thursday.

Glen Lake girls finished first in the Region 5 Final.  The Lakers edged out Cadillac by two points.  Both the Lakers and the Vikings are headed to the State Final at Boyne Mountain February 25th.

The Cadillac boys won a tie-breaker against Clare for the Regional Title.  The Glen Lake boys finished third.  So all three boys teams (Cadillac, Clare and Glen Lake) qualified for the Division 2 State Final at Boyne Mountain February 25th.

Fourteen individuals also qualified for the State Final:

Girls Slalom:  Morgan Papineau (Benzie Central), Syriah Dobis (Manistee), Maggie Merillat (Clare), Aria Grabowski (Benzie Central), Madi Cleary (Clare)

Boys Slalom: David Cunningham (Benzie Central), Chris Buswinka (Onekama)

Girls Giant Slalom: Brianna Zimmer (Mt. Pleasant), Syriah Dobis (Manistee), Morgan Papineau (Benzie Central), Aria Grabowski (Benzie Central)

Boys Giant Slalom: David Cunningham (Benzie Central), Dylan LaPorte (Harrison), Chris Buswinka (Onekama)
