Michigan Blood Alcohol Limit Could Be Raised in October

Posted: Updated:

Since 2003, Michigan's Legal Blood Alcohol Content Limit (BAC) has been point zero-eight.

Now, it is set to go back to point one-zero, unless State Lawmakers pass a Bill to keep it where it is.

Police and others say that allowing the rise in BAC is a danger to the State, in more ways than one.

They fear drivers will get the wrong idea about how much they can handle before getting behind the wheel.

And, it is not only a danger to drivers, it would also cost taxpayers more money.

It appears a majority of State Lawmakers want to prevent the Blood Alcohol Limit increase.

Currently, the State House is debating a Bill to keep it at point zero-eight.
