A local man is recovering after he caught fire at this past weekend's Vasa ski races.
The owner of Brick Wheels, Tim Brick, says Pete Laplaca, the race Director, was inside the announcer's booth when it happened; he bumped into a propane heater and his coat quickly went up in flames.
Brick push Laplaca onto the snow to put out the fire, but he had already suffered burns.
Laplaca has since been released from the hospital, and has seen a plastic surgeon.
