UPDATE: Police Arrest Two Connected to Manistee Business Break-In

Posted: Updated:

Police in Manistee say they've arrested two men in connection to the weekend break-in Jackpine Business Center.

Police say $4,000 to $5,000 worth of merchandise was stolen Sunday morning by two men.

Using surveillance video and other information, police found and arrested the suspects yesterday on probation violations.

They also collected evidence tying the pair to the Jackpine break-in.

Three computers were recovered, but five computers and two e-pads are still missing.

Formal charges are expected to be filed today.

Police say one of the men shoplifted from the store on Thursday and then broke into the store with another man Sunday morning.

Anyone who purchased a computer over the weekend possibly linked to this crime is asked to call Manistee City Police at 231-723-2533.

If the items are turned in, the purchaser won't face charges.
