Several Northern Michigan People Were Freezing For a Reason

Posted: Updated:

Several people plunged into freezing cold water today for a good cause.

About 100 daring people dressed up in crazy costumes and did the frigid deed. These courageous jumpers raised money for Special Olympics Michigan.

Spectators and participants gathered at the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa. The brave jumpers collected donations from friends, family, co-workers and neighbors.

Special guests included: 9&10's Michelle Dunaway, Sara Simnitch and Ann Marie LaFlamme.

There are 28 Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunges throughout Michigan February and March.
