Train Hit and Run in Osceola County

Osceola County Deputies responded this morning to collision between a train and a truck.

The accident happened in Marion on Main Street.

Police were notified that after being hit, the driver of the truck left the scene of the accident and stopped somewhere on M-66.

When deputies found the heavily damaged truck, the driver fled.

Police believe the driver was going too fast and could not stop for the oncoming train.

People working on the train say the truck ran into the engine of the train and bounced off.

The train received minor damage.

This accident is still under investigation.
