MI Supreme Court Rules Medical Marijuana Users Can't Buy at Dispensaries

Posted: Updated:

The Michigan Supreme Court ruled users of Medical Marijuana cannot buy it at dispensaries.

The case involves a Mt. Pleasant dispensary that allowed Medical Marijuana users to sell the drugs to each other.

Owners took as much as a 20% cut of each sale.

This morning's decision is the most significant ruling since voters approved marijuana for certain illnesses in 2008.

It now means the state's 126,000 approved users must grow their own marijuana, or have a state licensed caregiver grow it for them.
