Feedback at 5:00: Medical Marijuana

Posted: Updated:

Medical marijuana users in Michigan can no longer buy it from dispensaries.

This morning, the Michigan Supreme Court said the dispensaries are not allowed under the voter approved 2008 law.

This means the state's approved users must grow their own marijuana or have a state-licensed caregiver grow it for them.

Back in 2011, the state appeals court declared dispensaries illegal. Enforcing it depended on local authorities.

The state Supreme Court case involves a Mt. Pleasant dispensary that allowed medical-marijuana users to sell the drug to each other.

It was shut down by Isabella County.

For tonight's "Feedback at 5:00", we wanted your reaction to the court's decision.
