TC Native, Former Ferris Star Scores 1st NHL Goal

Traverse City native and former Ferris State hockey captain Zach Redmond scored his first NHL goal Thursday night.

It came in his fourth game with the Winnipeg Jets.  His team was locked in scoreless tie with the Toronto Maple Leafs in the second period.  Redmond's shorthanded score put the Jets on top 3:32 into the second period.

Winnipeg lost at home to the Maple Leafs 3-2.

Redmond secured his first NHL points with a pair of assists in a loss to Florida Tuesday night.
