Blue Angels May Not Make an Appearance at Cherry Fest 2014

Just as everyone was getting excited about the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels visit to the Cherry Capital in 2014, some cuts coming from the President may halt those plans.
President Obama signed the sequester cuts into law back in 2011, which could have a big impact on the Blue Angels.
The jet team has agreed to travel to Traverse City in 2014 for the National Cherry Festival Air Show, but the Chief of Naval Operations said that the Blue Angels would be grounded toward the second have of this year as the cuts are implemented.
The director of the National Cherry Festival says it would be disappointing if the Blue Angels couldn't come to the fest in 2014, but as of now they haven't heard of any cancellations.
The plans to keep the Blue Angels on the ground would result in the cancellation of around 30 shows and save about 20 million dollars.
