Posted: Updated:

School districts across northern Michigan waited to hear what Governor Snyder has in mind for them.

The governor's proposed budget includes a two-percent increase in funding for K-12 education.

Districts that currently get the minimum amount of aid would get $34 more per student this fall.

He's also backing the continuation of district performance and best practices funding for schools that meet certain criteria.
