SPECIAL REPORT: Missing Out: Preschool Education

Back in November, 9&10's Evan Dean did a special report on children who are missing out on early education programs.

Governor Snyder recently announced that increasing school funding is on his 2014 budget proposal.

This could create more early education opportunities for some of these children.

9&10's Christina Vecchioni talked to schools today about how they feel about Governor Snyder's plan to give students more opportunities.

Research reveals just how important early education is for kids, specifically in the year before Kindergarten.

The Federal and State Governments have free preschool programs for at risk children in low income families.

But as Evan Dean found out in this special report, nearly 30,000 eligible four-year-olds can't get into those programs.
