MTM On The Road: Polar Plunge is "Freezin' For a Reason"

Posted: Updated:

In 2000 the first Polar Plunge raised nearly $10,000 for Special Olympics Michigan, this year organizers hope the more than 25 plunges will raise $1,000,000.

The money sends 900 athletes from 60 Michigan counties to the Special Olympics Games each year.

The challenge of jumping into a freezing cold body of water, is nothing compared to some of the challenges faced every day by the athletes.

This morning Kalin and Stephanie were LIVE at the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa with some very brave plungers.
