We now know the name of the man who led police on a high speed chase yesterday.

Devon Schwartz was charged today with leading police on a chase, having meth, and running a drug house.

His bond is set at one million dollars.

An Indiana man is in jail and police are still trying to figure out exactly why he led them on a three county chase this morning.

State Police tell us it all started this morning, when a trooper tried to pulled over a car for a window tint violation on south bound US-131 near Boon Road.

When the trooper turned on his overhead lights and siren, the man still did not stop.

He got on M-55 and headed east, making his way through Lake City where he rear ended another car.

Reaching speeds around 105 miles per hour, troopers followed the suspect all the way into Roscommon County where they used stop sticks to stop the car.

The chase then ended just west of Houghton Lake when the driver lost control and crashed.

Police say the driver was not hurt in the accident.

He was taken to jail and is facing multiple charges including a tinted window violation, and eluding the police.

Police are also looking to see if this chase is connected to an earlier one that also happened in Wexford County.

Kyle Mitchell and Photojournalist Jeff Blevins have more on the chase.
