Icing problems on the roof of a multi-million dollar building is causing problems in Leelanau County.
Right now the county is threatening to sue a construction company for the damage done to the County Offices in Suttons Bay Township.
The 10.6 million dollar building opened five years ago. The county administrator says the builders didn't install insulation all the way to the roof's trusses. He says that causes significant heat loss, ventilation problems and an ice buildup.
Devere Construction says it's willing to work with the county, evaluate the problem and get the original subcontractor to "correct any deficiencies."
