Missaukee County Man In Court For Operating Illegal Dog Breeding Business

Posted: Updated:

A Missaukee County man was in court on Friday, sued by the County for an illegal dog breeding business.

The Missaukee County Prosecutor requested that John Jones cease and desist operating a kennel that the County deemed overcrowded and unsanitary.

But, Jones says he is operating an outdoor kennel, protects his dogs from harsh weather, and has cleaned things up.

Friday, the Court gave him one more chance to comply.

He has thirty days to get his kennel under control and get a license.

If he fails to comply, Missaukee County will remove the animals from his care.
