One local elementary school is adding a new procedure with hopes of keeping students safer.
Lincoln Elementary School in Cadillac is unveiling a new way to pick up your children from school.
The procedure was developed by nearby Franklin Elementary School.
Parents are able to choose a specific way home for their child, like bus or being picked up by car, and will have to present a special name tag during dismissal.
9 & 10's Meredith Barack and photojournalist Jake Johnson visited the school to learn more about their new process at dismissal time.
