Isabella County Stabbing

Posted: Updated:

Police responded to a stabbing in Union Township near Mount Pleasant early this morning.

Around 2:41 a.m. a man was found bleeding at the Copper Beach Apartment complex.

Witnesses say the man was highly intoxicated and had gone into two separate apartments without permission.

People at the first apartment were able to lock their door after the man left.

The residents were not at the second apartment when he entered, but when they returned home they found the man lying down in one of the bedrooms.

They told the man to leave, but he refused and lunged at one of the residents.

A fight started between the two, until one of the residents stabbed the man in the lower back.

He was transported to McLaren Central Michigan Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time and the case remains under investigation by the Isabella County Sheriff's Department.
