UPDATE: Homeowners Cope with the Damage Caused by Flooding

Posted: Updated:

Today the homeowners forced out yesterday were able to get their first glimpses of the damage done by the Muskegon River.

Most people in the neighborhood evacuated while some chose to stay put and do what they could to protect their homes.

Now after the water has receded about nine inches, some of the damage could be assessed.

The homes along the river front are still underwater, many over three feet deep.

Across the road many homeowners have flooded basements and crawlspaces.

9&10's Eric Lloyd was there to meet with a few today and has more details.
