UPDATE: Power Cut off in Rogers Heights Due to Flooding

Posted: Updated:

About 10 homes that were not affected by the flooding should have power restored at some point today.

Homes that were affected need to have their home inspected by the township electrical inspector before their power will be turned back on.

If anyone in the area that doesn't have power, but wasn't affected by the flooding should call Consumers Energy at (888) 477-5050.

Power has been cut off to a multiple customers due to the flooding near Rogers Heights.

The power was disconnected to protect evacuating residents and the emergency responders assisting in the evacuation.

The area the power was shut off to is larger than was initially affected by the flood as a precaution to additional flooding.

Consumers Energy is working on a plan to restore power to residences not directly affected, but they have not yet indicated a time for line restoration.
