Any engineer will marvel at the locks in Sault Ste. Marie, which are operated by the Army Corp of Engineers and help ships safely pass from the St. Mary's River in the Great Lakes.
Vital for shipping and trade the locks are crucial to our economy.
They are also one of the most visited attractions in Michigan.
