The weather forced a group from across the nation that gathered here in Northern Michigan to change up their plans today.
Shanty Creek hosted the 38th annual Ski For Light International Week, which hopes to help individuals who are visually and mobility impaired overcome the challenges of cross country skiing.
But because of the weather, they tried a new winter activity today...snowshoeing.
The Ski For Light program focuses on a positive attitude.
Their motto is "If I can do this, then I can do anything."
They hope to help participants gain confidence and a sense of achievement.
If the weather cooperates, they'll be able to ski in the final event that's a race on Saturday.
