Community Comes Together to Help Shooting Victim Make Light of Horrible Incident

Posted: Updated:

The community of Kalkaska is trying to help turn a horrible situation into a positive one.

Police say Claudia Roberts was shot in the back with a rifle in November by her neighbor.

The suspect was arrested and has been charged with attempted murder and felony firearm.

Today, the Kalkaska community came together to show their support for Claudia.

Instant Cash put on a spaghetti dinner to raise money for Claudia to help her through these hard times.

All proceeds from tonight's fundraiser will help Claudia with her medical bills.

If you would like to help Claudia, donations can be dropped off at Instant Cash in Traverse City or Kalkaska.
