Sno* Drift Rally Underway in Montmorency County

Posted: Updated:

If you hear engines revving, it's likely because rally racing is underway in northern Michigan.

The Sno* Drift Rally started today, Friday, in Montmorency County.

It's based in Atlanta, but Hillman and Lewiston are also included in the event.

9&10 News got an up-close look at some of the cars today, at the start line.

They head out onto roads that are glare ice, and as one of the organizers tells us, that's just the way they like it.

The Sno* Drift Rally is the first event of the 2013 Rally America Championship series.
