Cheboygan County Car Accident

Cheboygan County Sheriff's Department was called to an accident on US 27 near Long Point in Mullett Township.

The accident happened around 5:00 p.m. yesterday when a driver lost control of his vehicle, crossed the centerline, and collided with another car.

Both vehicles came to a stop in separate ditches.

The driver who lost control of his vehicle was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown into the back seat of his car.

He was transported to McLaren Hospital Northern Michigan with serious injuries.

The Cheboygan County Sheriff urges everyone to drive with extreme caution in these icy conditions.
