Local Students Attend Presidential Inauguration

Posted: Updated:

Students from Grand Traverse Academy left last Saturday, and just arrived back in northern Michigan this morning. After a pretty long drive, they're happy to be coming home with memories to last a lifetime.

Hundreds of thousands of people were there as President Obama spoke from the steps of the Capitol building, Monday. He talked about pulling through trying times and remembering what America is all about. Some local students heard those words firsthand, and even captured some of them on video.

9&10's Sara Simnitch, and Photojournalist, Jeremy Erickson, sat down with some of the students as they talked about their Inauguration experience.
