There's a new state initiative to help Michiganders create a healthier tomorrow.

The campaign is aimed at helping people make changes towards a healthier lifestyle by pledging to lose 10% of their body weight.

That means focusing in on habits like a healthy diet, regular exercise, yearly physicals, and avoiding tobacco.

The measures include your B-M-I, blood pressure, cholesterol level, and blood sugar.

Health Department Director James Haverman unveiled the campaign today in Lansing.
