It took firefighters all day to put out a fire that completely destroyed apartments and a business, in Presque Isle County's Rogers City.

The fire started around 11:00 AM, this morning.

Firefighters were challenged, due to cold temperatures and the building's roof collapsing.

One man was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

Apartment tenants say they have lost everything, but are thankful everyone made it out alive.

"It had been converted into apartments and a barber shop, so there were many additions that made it very hard to fight," says the Rogers City Fire Chief, Michael Kroll.

As of now, fire officials believe the fire started while one of the apartment tenants was cooking.
