A Gladwin County woman says she was held captive for five days before finally being able to break free.

The Gladwin County Sheriff's Department says they received a call around 9 Saturday night to help a woman, who was also suffering from gunshot wounds.

The woman told them she had been held captive since Tuesday, January 15th.

The captor also shot and restrained her during that time.

Saturday she was able to break free and call for help.

He's currently being held for attempted homicide and unlawful imprisonment.
