Caberfae Peaks Celebrates 75 Years

Posted: Updated:

A local ski resort celebrated their 75th Anniversary, today.

Caberfae Peaks in Wexford County, opened it's first ski hill on January 16, 1938.

It's the third oldest ski hill in the country that is still in operation.

Over the last three quarters of a century a lot has changed, in terms of technology, but the same thrills and excitement from the sport still remain.

In 1938, they only had one run and a tow rope.

Now the Peaks feature 34 runs and six lifts.

Seventy-five years is a long time to last for any company, but Caberfae is confident they can make it to 100 years, even in this competitive industry.
