Cheboygan County Man Falls Through Thin Ice, Hopes Others Can Learn From His Mistake

A Cheboygan County man thought he was safe to go on the ice, but he got a cold surprise when it didn't hold him.

Michael Beuerle took a dip when he and his 4-wheeler went through the ice.

His neighbor Raymond Rathbun rescued him.

The ice fishing accident happened around 4:30 p.m., Monday, in the canal leading into Black Lake.

9&10 News first told you of this thin ice incident Monday, and today, we talked to the man involved.
