End of NHL Lockout Means Return of Tournament and Training Camp

The NHL lockout frustrated hockey fans as the season was taken from them for almost 3 months.

As collateral damage, the Red Wings canceled their annual prospect tournament and training camp in Traverse City.

Now the lockout is nearing its ending, opening up the ability to bring back the major hockey draws to Northern Michigan this year.

The events bring hundreds of thousands of dollars into the Traverse City economy every year and last year the region missed out.

The plans are being made to bring the teams, the superstars and the league's future back to Traverse City, the only thing uncertain is if the fans are willing to come back to the sport that turned their back for several months.
