A Lake City man is dead and another seriously injured, after their snowmobiles collided Saturday in Missaukee County.
In a statement, Sheriff Jim Bosscher tells us the accident happened shortly before 2:30 P.M. in a Christmas tree field, on Kelly Road in Lake Township.
According to the Sheriff, 50-year-old Michael Borgstrom of Lake City was southbound on the private property when he was struck broadside by another sled, driven by 36-year-old Jason Jenema, also of Lake City.
Borgstrom died at the scene, while Jenema was airlifted to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids with serious injuries.
