Food Pantries Prepared to Help Those Shut Out by Bridge Cards

Posted: Updated:

About 85,000 Bridge Card holders never received their benefits this month due to a human error.

Any card holder with a client ID number ending in a zero did not receive their benefits.

The state has been working furiously to get the benefits restored since the mistake was discovered yesterday.

Local food pantries have also prepared for an influx of clients, as those with faulty cards look to feed their families this week.

Recipients of food assistance can contact the customer service number at 1-888-678-8914 for updates and additional information.

9&10's Eric Lloyd and photojournalist Jacob Johnson stopped by a Crawford County pantry and have more details.
