Onaway Business Recognized by Department of Defense

Posted: Updated:

The Department of Defense presented Moran Iron Works, in Onaway, with a Patriotic Award today, Friday, for going above and beyond to support an employee currently serving in Afghanistan.

Company owner, Tom Moran, says the Patriotic Employer recognition isn't about him, but his entire team.

It's likely that team mind-set that's behind the continued success of the business.

Moran Iron Works is forging ahead with more hiring to keep up with demand.

9&10's Christina Vecchioni has more on how the company is investing in northern Michigan.
