Social Media Saves Puppy's Life

Posted: Updated:

One stray puppy, with two broken legs.

And it was the support of people from across the country that saved his life.

A post about the dog in need on a Traverse City Animal Hospital's Social Media website went viral.

The dog, now being called a Christmas miracle, is feeling much better and is almost ready for a new home.

The mutt found on Christmas eve was given the fitting name of "Saint Nick," and on that day he got the greatest gift of all, a second chance at life.

With a pin in one leg and a plate in the other, Saint Nick will spend the next few months recovering from his surgery, as the search begins for his new home.

Donations for Saint Nick can be sent to:

Benzie Co. Animal Welfare League, P.O. Box 172, Frankfort, MI 49635

If you are interested in adopting Saint Nick, you can call Benzie County Animal Control at 231-882-9505.
