Central Michigan University has received additional accreditation for its new medical school.
The 5-year accreditation comes from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
It applies to the new med school's residency programs, with Covenant Health Care and Saint Mary's of Michigan.
The CMU College of Medicine got nearly 2,800 applications for its inaugural class.
60 students will be expected to take part.
The college opens this summer.
