Supermarkets Relieved for Farm Bill Extension

Posted: Updated:

One section of the Fiscal Cliff crisis that has been agreed upon is the Farm Bill.

An agreement has been made and government subsidies will continue for the agricultural industry.

Without the federal government help to control food pricing, the price of milk and other staple foods was expected to nearly double.

Milk could have cost more than $6 a gallon, raising the price of everything dairy related.

The bill has been extended for another year, avoiding an immediate crisis.
