Boardman Township Chosen to be in Video Promoting Michigan's Townships

They are likely the biggest snowmen you have ever seen, and they will soon be featured in an online video that is all about Michigan.

The Michigan Townships Association chose Boardman Township in Kalkaska County, to be represented in a YouTube video for their organization.

Throughout the last week, people in South Boardman have worked on building two giant snowmen for the video.

Today they were filmed, having some fun in the snow.

About 40 other Michigan townships will also be shown in the video, doing Winter activities.

Tonya Hart helped build the snowmen and says they,

"...Filled up buckets of snow and added cupfuls of water to make it packy, so that we could fill it in.  Otherwise, it just looked like it was a bunch of boulders, just stacked together."

The video featuring Boardman Township should be on YouTube towards the end of January, 2013.
