Power Outages Still a Problem for Many

Posted: Updated:

Power is still out tonight for people in Crawford County.

For five days, those who live in Maple Forest Township have been in the dark and waiting for their power to come back.

Crews working on the downed lines are faced with quite the challenge.  Many of the lines are deep into the woods and they are only able to reach them by snowmobile.

The outage has not only has caused an inconvenience for people's holiday plans, but they also worry about what the outage may be doing to their pipes and furnaces.

Many are now just running generators to heat their homes.

9 & 10's Meredith Barack and photojournalist Jeff Blevins spoke with Maple Forest Township residents about when they hope to see the lights come back on.
