Great Lakes Energy Works To Restore Power Outages Due To Storm

Posted: Updated:

The snow, rain, and high winds have caused thousands of people in Northern Michigan to lose power.

Utility companies and crews are working to repair all the lines, as quickly as possible.

At times, Thursday nearly 8,000 Great Lakes Energy Customers had no power.

Consumer's Energy had about 25,000 out in Northern Michigan.

Great Lakes says the lines that service the most people, are the ones they try to fix first.

Many of the Great Lakes Energy Customers in the Kalkaska County Area that were experiencing outages got their power back around 5:00 PM yesterday.

Many more outages are expected Friday.
