Northern Michigan Man Charged for Growing Over 100 Marijuana Plants

Northern Michigan man sentenced to federal prison for growing marijuana plants.

Daryl Houghton of Naubinway was sentenced to 18 months for conspiracy to manufacture 100 or more marijuana plants.

An investigation in Mackinac County started in 2007, an they found that the growing of marijuana spanned from 2004-2007 involving more than 400 marijuana plants.

Houghton plead guilty in September, 2012, and was recently charged for the crimes.
