JUST IN: Michigan House Approves Right-to-Work Bill

Posted: Updated:

We just got word into the 9&10 Newsroom that the Michigan House just passed the right-to-work bill.

Republican lawmakers approved a contentious right-to-work bill limiting unions' strength and deals with public-sector workers.

A previous bill that focused on the private-sector workers was approved last week.

Once the bills have cleared the House, they will then move on to GOP Governor Rick Snyder who is expected to sign them as early as tomorrow.

People who support the law say it would bring more jobs to Michigan and give workers freedom. Yet, critics say it would drive down wages and benefits.

We are broadcasting LIVE from the State Capitol all day today with the latest information.
