Woman Pleads No Contest to Several Consignment Thefts

Posted: Updated:

Police say the woman who stole thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from her customers took a plea deal today.

Caitlyn Lee is accused of taking items and money from customers of her now closed shop called Kate's Designer Consignor Shop in Mount Pleasant.

Caitlyn Lee pleaded no contest in the Isabella County court.

That means she does not admit guilt, but will serve the punishment for the crime.

More than 30 complaints were brought against Lee.

Police say she closed her consignment shop without notifying her customers and they have not gotten their money or clothes back since.

She'll be sentenced next month.
