Midland Deputies say the woman's body they found is Leigh Swanson, and she was shot and killed.

Swanson's body was found yesterday near a home where a man shot and killed himself when deputies arrived.

45-year-old Leigh Swanson went missing after going on a date with a man she met on the Internet.

Police revived a tip that Swanson was at a home in Sanford on Sunday.

When deputies arrived at the home, they heard a gunshot and eventually was approached by a male subject who said his son just shot himself.

A woman's body was found across the street in a wooded area on Wednesday around 1:30 in the afternoon in Edenville Township.
